SECOND TRIMESTER

Media (45 minute classes)
​Day 1 - Rules/Routines/Social Skill - Self Control, Introduce Stop Motion Animation
  • Show samples
  • Demonstrate iPad with iStop motion
  • Demonstrate how to use the iPad stand
  • Demonstrate Play doh rules/cleanup
  • Spacing is speed/Speeding up - slowing down
Day 2 - review fps (15), focus, using checklist, play-doh rules, - work on recipes through Squash and StretchDemonstrate bouncing ball
Day 3 - Continue with Animation - worked through wind up and follow through with jumping
Day 4 - repeat day 3
Day 5 - Introduce wind up and follow through with throwing and also sneezing - begin planning own animation
Day 6 - 
Day 7 - 


Programming and Robotics - These are extended classes of 90 minutes
Day 1 - Introduction to computer lab, social skills t chart - self control, Code.org - lesson 5 creating art with code - demonstrate and have students work 1/2 group - other 1/2 group Dash and Dot - E1.1, using Blockly
Day 2 - Hour of Code Dance Party
Day 3 - repeat day 1 but switch groups - connect up to 4 robots to do a line dance
Day 4 - code.org, Dreambox, Big Brainz (no robots)

​Day 5 - Introduce Wonder and have students navigate through maze.

We are so excited to work with you in our new Media Center. We'll begin with our Media Center Bootcamp and our focus during this time will be on getting your started with your laptops and your different accounts. We'll also have you log into our Media Center Google Classroom. Are you ready to begin?

Bootcamp - Our focus will be on:
  • Media Center Rules and Routines (TAUF and Audio/Video forms)
  • Using the Mobile Labs
  • Creating our user accounts on our classroom mobile lab and the Media Center mobile lab
  • Making sure our Google accounts work
  • Making sure our Dreambox accounts
  • Logging into Google Classroom and completing and submitting an assignment
  • Using BigBrainz (What's new? What's the same?)
  • Getting started with Ultimate Typing
  • Let's talk about the Media Center
  • Applying for Media Team Jobs
