Day 6 - Media
1. Log into Google Classroom and see your assignment from Mrs. Chang.
2. Begin thinking about your project and what you and your partner will be doing.
1. PLAN - Begin with a plan and draw it out on a piece of paper. Show what you plan to do and the characters that you plan to create. Decide what your background will look like and what materials you will use to create your background. Keep it simple.
2. BACKGROUND - Create your background and make sure that it fits in the iPad screen. You might need to make marks showing your borders. You will be using the iPad stands to stabilize the iPads.
3. CHARACTERS - Create your characters and make sure they are the correct size for your background.
4. PRACTICE - Practice your story so that you know what you need to do and make sure you have all your parts/pieces.
5. NEW PROJECT - In iStop Motion create a new project and name it with your name and your partner's name. Set your frame rate to 15 fps. Focus your camera (often). Remember that 15 frames (pictures) = 1 second of movie.
6. CREATE YOUR ANIMATION - Check your animation often because you can not go into the middle of an iStop Motion project and add new slides. You can duplicate existing slides, but you CAN NOT add new slides.
7. ADD SOUND EFFECTS/MUSIC - Optional
8. SHARE - Share your animation to Movie > Save Video.
- Mrs. Miranda - You will be creating a stop motion animation showing how your form of energy is transferred (based on your "expert group").
- Mrs. Kameda-Doi - You will be showing how a ball moving through space is a form of kinetic energy.

Tips
- When you work with your dough, be sure to use the ball of dough to pick up extra little pieces of dough so that it doesn't fall on the floor and get ground into the carpet.
- Keep track of your googly eyes.
- Flatten your dough on your hand or on the table. Flattening it on the paper makes it stick to the paper.
- Use tape to keep your paper from moving.
- Keep your iPad still. The only thing that moves is your piece of dough.
3. Log into Ultimate Typing and complete one lesson. Remember that we are working on practicing HomeRow fingering - NOT two finger typing. This is hard, and it will be worth all the time and effort once you train your fingers.
If you finish any of the items above before we are ready to switch, you can log into your Dreambox account and continue with one lesson. Please do not go to the My Stuff area. Stay on the lessons.
